Well to be honest; I guess I was in the 4th grade when I first encountered a Boeing 747, it wasn't my first time standing and looking at an aircraft, I would always look in the sky and find many, especially one's in the morning while heading to school, the contrails were always mistaken for a rocket passing by.
But this, this was different. I was standing really close to the aircraft just to realise it's sheer size and beauty and left in aaw 😲😰. I remember telling Dad even I want one of these, he just smiled and said "You will have to work towards it".
My Dad served in the Indian Navy but was never interested in airplanes unlike my Grandfather who served as a Pilot for the Royal Airforce.
Yes I know what you guys might be thinking: Dad in the Indian Navy, Grandfather in the Royal Airforce? 😕
Well I belong to an Anglo Indian family. Dad was born and raised in India while my Grandfather belonged to England and was posted in India during the British Era.
