Airline Training Centre Arizona partners KLM Flight Academy

Airline Training Centre Arizona Inc. (ATCA) in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, which is part of the Lufthansa Group, has been cooperating with the KLM Flight Academy,
the training centre of the Dutch airline KLM, since September.

ATCA is providing aeroplanes and flight instructors in order to conduct the practical flight training of a total of 57 young pilots for KLM Flight Academy in the current and next year.
The pilots in training will complete their VFR and IFR training in Phoenix on Beechcraft F33 Bonanza aircraft, of which ATCA operates 26. This training phase will be completed with a check-flight conducted by the Civil Aviation Authority of The Netherlands.
ATCA is a fully owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Flight Training GmbH, which also trains new pilots for Lufthansa. Safety, quality of training, and adherence to schedules were the essential criteria for KLM Flight Academy to select its new training partner. Thereby, the company intends to strengthen its own strategic orientation as reliable quality provider of pilot training.
